
The Front for the Defense of Democracy and the Republic (FDR) met on Tuesday, officials of the United States Embassy in Senegal as part of its touring with chancellery.
According to a statement, the FDR delegation was led by its coordinator, Khalifa Ababacar Sall, and also included Omar Sarr, Samba Sy, Abdou Mmbow, Nicolas Ndiaye and Marcel Diagna Ndiaye.
The meeting, which lasted two hours, allowed an in -depth exchange on several crucial questions.
-The discussions have notably focused on “the state of democracy in Senegal, the current economic situation, the concerns concerning the restriction of freedoms, the social tensions observed in the country, as well as other subjects including bilateral relations between Senegal and the United States”.
This FDR initiative is part of an approach aimed at informing international partners “of the political, economic and social issues of Senegal, and to share their perspectives on these important questions”.
