Former Manchester midfielder Paul Pogba has insisted that he remains “hungry” to return to professional as he still awaits a transfer after the end of his ban.

In March, Pogba, now 32, was eligible to return after being banned after testing positive for the substance DHEA. The substance can promote the rapid growth of the hormone testosterone and, as such, is banned by anti- authorities.

Initially, the Frenchman was banned for a whopping four-years which would have – most likely – ended his career. However, on appeal at the Court of Arbitration for , his suspension was reduced to 18 months.

The court that Pogba had not intentionally taken DHEA and as a , were satisfied that his ban could be reduced. In December 2024, a couple of months after his suspension was reduced, Pogba mutually terminated his contract at Juventus after an ill-fated spell back in .

Since then, the rumour mill has been speculating where Pogba could end up. In February, Louis Saha insisted that Pogba should return to United and that he would have him back “in a heartbeat” if he had his way.

However, a return move to United is deemed unlikely. Mason Greenwood attempted to sway Pogba to Marseille, but that proposed deal has not materialised, either.

Pogba has been spending a lot of time in Miami – and has been pictured with United hero David Beckham at Miami. However a contract offer has not been put on the table yet. As the season in reaches its conclusion, it appears Pogba will be without a club heading into the summer transfer window.

Now as clubs weigh up their options for new signings, Pogba has a message, not only to his followers, but potential clubs expressing his availability. Taking to Instagram, he said: “What’s up it’s your boy PP.

“I mean, this is just a little message that I think shows someone who is still hungry for the comeback. I have been training by myself, but never giving up and always chasing my dream and what I want to achieve.

“So just a little message for all of you guys that right now, you don’t get what you want, but just keeping trying, keep pushing until you get it. It might be , it might be in one year, two years, but man what is going to happen, is going to happen so, let’s go.

“Big up and I will see you very soon.” A switch to Arabia or the United States would, perhaps, appear to be the most likely option for Pogba.

However, the 91-cap midfielder has previously expressed his desire to return to the national team – and that would be unlikely if he was playing in either the Saudi Pro or MLS. At 32, Pogba would need to be playing in Europe at a minimum to break into a French side that has excelled on the stage in his absence.
