What assessment do you make for the senior group when the season is coming to an end?
It was a sawtooth exercise. We were able to react towards the end, especially with the two victories of this weekend. We rank at the top of the table to prepare for next year and aim for the climb the following season. It’s a correct season. There is a good state of mind, many players in training. Everyone is diligent, it’s good for the future.
You talk about climbing. Is that a goal for the two senior teams?
Yes. This year, there were a lot of D3 descents so we especially wanted to maintain our team one at this level. The reserve suffered regularly when it was necessary to take players for the pennant team. The reserve has a sufficient pool to be able to climb, but the front page must first be promoted. The priority objective is not to have two D4 teams, but above all target the accession to D2 next year.
What weapons will you use to target this climbing goal in D2?
We would have to strengthen the workforce in two-three key positions. We missed this year when we had some absent. When we are complete, victory is there. Players are missing commissioned between team one and the reserve, and who then bring to the first team in important matches. We have a young workforce that is gaining momentum. Everyone stays next year. With Revel next, we can also recover players. It’s a good omen. There is ambition.
Ambitions that can lead to D1 in future seasons?
It is a goal. The group has 22 years of average age is very young. Players work in the sector so should stay here. It augurs good things. You have to have the click, a climb can announce another.
