Gas drops by 6.4 %
Good news for French households heated to gas! After several months of consecutive increases, the price of gas will finally Decrease by 6.4 % from May 1. Concretely, the price of the kilowatt hour (kWh) will go from 0.12412 € to 0.1162 €.
Over a year, this drop could represent Up to € 88 in savings for the most modest households.
Gas users for cooking and hot water will also have a decrease of 5.16 %, with a kWh which will drop from € 0.1530 to € 0.1451.
Revaluation of social aid
Another boost for households: since April, The main social benefits were upgraded by 1.7 %. Are particularly concerned:
- active solidarity income (RSA),
- Allocation to disabled adults (AAH),
- the specific solidarity allowance (ASS),
- Universal emergency aid,
- The daily support for a person at the end of his life (AJAP),
- the activity bonus.
The monthly basis for calculating family allowances has also been increased by 1.7 %, directly impacting the education allowance of the disabled child (AEEH), the back -to -school allowance (ARS) and the complement of free choice of childcare (CMG).
-Even if the revaluation has been effective since April 1, Its effects should become visible in bank accounts from May 5especially for RSA or AAH payments.
No energy check in the spring
Usually sent in the spring, the 2025 energy check will be exceptionally postponed to November. The reason? Late adoption of the budget for 2025specifies the site of the Ministry of the Economy.
The Service and Payment Agency (ASP) will automatically send the check to eligible households, but procedures will remain necessary for some people via a dedicated platform.
Declaration of income: Watch out for deadlines!
Since April 10, 2025, the income declaration campaign has been open. All taxpayers – including non -taxable – must declare their income received in 2024: Salaries, pensions, pensions, property income, capital income …
Only exception: If your situation has not changed since 2023you can then benefit from the automatic declaration.
Watch out for the limits to validate your online declaration:
- May 22 for departments 01 to 19,
- May 28 for departments 20 to 54,
- June 5 for departments 55 to 976,
- May 20 for paper declarations or French residents abroad.
