The first leg between Stade Briochin and the Girondins de Bordeaux had been hot, not on the green rectangle, but in the stands … and between the Bordeaux. The two ultra groups, the ultramarines and the North Gate, had clashed around the stadium, before a supporter was assaulted a little later in the enclosure.
Since then, tension has come down. But their arrival in Fred-Aubert, this Saturday, April 19, forced the authorities and the club to some modifications in their organization.
“A non-aggression pact”
Since the beginning of the year, the two ultra groups have in fact signed “a non-aggression pact”, the only way for them that the authorities have returned to the ban on travel which had been pronounced against them.
Since then, there have been no incidents. Proof that the risk of confrontation is much lower than in December, the match was classified at level 1 by the National Division to Combat Hooliganism (DNLH), the lowest level on a scale of 1 to 5.
Consequently, the prefecture explains: “The device put in place will be suitable, as for any National 2 match.”
A landscaped parking
A security meeting between the club, the city and the prefecture was still organized, in particular to decide the question of the parking of the two groups: “There will be two spaces within the parking.”, Explains Guillaume Allanou, coach and president of the club.
“Nor did you open online ticket office to prevent ultras from Bordeaux to be scattered throughout the stadium,” he adds. So there is a line in front of the club offices to attend a new decisive match in the race for the third division. “There should be 4,500 spectators, even a little more, like against Nice or Annecy,” hopes Guillaume Allanou.
