Victo: we recycle the crushed stone
For a long time, each year, it is nearly 4000 tonnes of mixture of abrasives that the city recovers. Imagine, more than 75% of the stone used each winter resumes service in winter after!
This approach, both economic and ecological, perfectly illustrates the circular economy applied to our municipal practices.
After cleaning the streets, the mixture is dried and sifted to remove any waste.
Rigorous laboratory tests then guarantee the quality of the latter. If necessary, recycled abrasives are enriched with new materials to guarantee their effectiveness for winters to come.
To help the smooth running of this process, you are asked not to throw the stone into the garbage bins and to release the streets of any obstacle when passing the street broom (parked car, basketball basket, etc.).
