Windows 11 benefits from an important update of artificial intelligence, with a reworked start menu and improved COPILOT+ integrations, designed to increase the productivity and accessibility of users. These updates will initially be deployed for Copilot+ PCs equipped with Snapdragon X, such as the last surface devices, but will then be extended to other hardware configurations.
Windows 11 Start Reworked Start menu has a “all applications” full screen view classified by categories to facilitate navigation. It also includes the highly anticipated PHONE LINK Companion panel, which allows real -time access to recent messages, calls, battery status and contacts of Android or iOS connected devices.
Modification of configurations using the IA invites
An innovative AI agent integrated into the Windows Settings Application simplifies troubleshooting by allowing users to describe problems in natural language. This agent then guides them to the appropriate parameters and, with the authorization of the user, can even automate changes. Microsoft stresses that if the recommendations are generated by AI, they are not always accurate, which encourages prudence when these suggestions apply to sensitive parameters.
- The “click to do” function, fueled by neuronal treatment units (NPU) on the device, benefits from extensive features.
Users can now use Copilot to analyze text or images on the screen, write content in Microsoft Word, convert information to the screen into Excel tables, plan Teams meetings or messages, and launch Reading Coach or Immersive Reader – All these elements are designed to rationalize repetitive tasks thanks to the awareness of the context.
