Does the Breguet house have historical watches in its collections?
Yes, the Breguet house has had the privilege of enriching its collections with several historical subscription watches, acquired over the years during auctions.
The Breguet museum has different models, in silver, gold, and different sizes. They illustrate this chapter of the story of Breguet. Among these treasures, we can cite watches No. 246, n ° 324, n ° 383, n ° 1576 or n ° 3424 remarkably well preserved.
They brilliantly testify to the vision of its creator and the singular place occupied by this model in the history of watchmaking. Each of these pieces tells, in its own way, the daring modernity of Breguet, its design genius and its commercial imagination.
Let us not that, under simple appearances, Breguet introduces several innovations in the subscription watch: size of the rubies to optimize lubrication, final form of the anti-checking system “’ drop ”, secret signature and, provision of movement facilitating repairability.
