La Landsgemeinde de Glaris decided on to introduce three Sundays a year without cars by the Klöntal lake. This measure will be in force from 2026.

(Keystone-ATS) The area will be closed to motorized vehicles on the Sunday in June, July and August. This measure will the overload of traffic around the lake, popular with people from other cantons.

The Glaronais also validated the replacement of the cable car which serves the Braunwald holiday station. Costs are estimated at 24 million francs.
