Wine actors held their first general states
Participatory workshops allowed the actors of the Valais sector to conduct reflections on its challenges on Monday.

Professional winegrowers, scribblers And the winegrowers were invited to discuss different themes related to the production, the market and the structures of the branch.
This reflection took the form of participatory workshops, led by the Foundation for the sustainable development of mountain regions. The approach aims to set up legal tools and bases adapted to future challenges and to develop a coordinated strategy carried by the profession.
-Amateurs will be taken into account
More than 250 people from more than 200 companies representing 75% of the volume of the bypass and more than 50% of the areas exchanged for several hours. The summary of all these discussions will be sent to the participants, who will be able to provide details or supplements. A wider consultation will follow, with amateur winegrowers, cafetiers-restaurants, prescribers or even market directors.
In May 2024, the Grand Council had adopted almost unanimously a framework credit for the modernization of the Valais vineyard. The project “21st century vineyardAims to reduce fragmentation and encourage the renewal of the cantonal vineyard, while modernizing it.
