The most prestigious stage of the FE world championship put the double dose this weekend. On Sunday, the 9th edition of Monaco E-Prix was starting on Avenue Albert 1er at the Condamine. Princess Charlène was responsible, this May 4, to reward the winner, a ghost, the Swiss pilot Sébastien Buemi.

Sébastien Buemi is triple winner of the Monaco e-Prix
This year, the Monaco E-Prix offered two races in a weekend. On Saturday the 8th edition of the Prize and Sunday was the 9th edition. It is a car race for electric single -seaters, vehicles of the formula E category regulated by the International Automobile Federation (FIA). The races organized in Monaco since 2015, on the same circuit as the F1 Grand Prix, are part of the Calendar of the World Formula E.

This Saturday, it was Pierre Casiraghi, the second son of Princess Caroline, who gave the trophy to the winner, Oliver Rowland. This Sunday, it was Princess Charlène of Monaco, 47, who represented the princely family in the stands. The wife of the Monegasque head of state wore a set of creator Sara Roka, composed of a white shirt and a skirt with large red, pink, orange and yellow scratches.

The Swiss pilot Sébastien Buemi (Invision Racing), several winners of the Le Mans, made his comeback on the Principality circuit. Sébastien Buemi won the first edition in 2015, then the second, in 2017. At the time, the race was organized every two years. For the moment, he is the only pilot to have won the Monaco E-Prix more than once.

Princess Charlène gave the Golden Trophy to the Swiss winner and then put the consolation trophies, a silver and one in bronze color to Oliver Rowland and Nick Cassidy. Oliver Rowland therefore arrived second, 4 seconds after Sébastien Buemi, still allowing him to get on the podium. It’s a great weekend for the British driver since he had won the day before. These two good results will help him for the world ranking, winning 25 points on Saturday and 21 points on Sunday. Sébastien Buemi had only arrived at 19th on Saturday and he had won no point.
These two races were the 6th and 7th rounds of the championship which counts 16. At the end of his first seven races, Oliver Rowland largely dominates in the first position of the general classification of the championship with a total of 115 points, while the second, the Portuguese pilot Antoni Felix da Costa, has only 67 points.
