With the retirement of Jan Vertonghen and the return of Adryelson to Lyon, Anderlecht will have to recruit two central defenders this summer.
Ahmed Touba
In January, the Brussels club was linked to Ahmed Touba, and apparently, this interest is still concrete: “Can I succeed Jan Vertonghen in Anderlecht? I am sometimes compared to him, because we are central left-handed defenders and that we have a little style,” the Algerian told RTBF.
“There are contacts with Anderlecht, but also with other teams. I have to make the right choice. We’ll see after the season.”
Touba is charmed by the interest of the Mauves but does not want to rush: “I will not deny it, I am in the viewfinder of Anderlecht. We have already had contacts this winter and we will get to the table in a few weeks. This will be an important decision because I am 27 years old. I am no longer a young young person who begins his career.”
Istanbul Basque
For information, Touba does not belong to Mechelen but in Istanbul Basaksehir. However, he no longer has a future in the Turkish club and could leave for a reasonable amount.
