This Wednesday, May 7, 2025, around 7:14 am, the Dieupeul district police station was alerted by a well-introduced source in the criminogenic environment of the suspicious presence, at the Elton roundabout in Mermoz, of an individual dressed in the complete hold of the national gendarmerie (uniform, beret, belt and rangers), actively sought by services.
Dispatched to the scene, the elements of the research brigade have arrested the suspect. Led to the police station for identification, the latter said he was named Mr. T, born December 22, 2002 in Hann sur Mer, presenting himself as a 4th year of medicine at UCLCAD.
At the time of his arrest, he was discreetly followed by two gendarmes from the Dakar research brigade, also looking for him, aboard a pick-up.
A safety palpation made it possible to discover on him a mobile phone from an iPhone brand, three receipts for the deposit of the national identity card, a military backpack and a police of the gendarmerie.
-The analysis of his phone has revealed many photos of him dressed in police and gendarmerie uniforms, as well as exchanges in WhatsApp groups claiming the 58th promotion of gendarmerie non-commissioned officers, where he called himself Aidara chief.
It should be recalled that two months ago, the service had been alerted to the same roundabout of an individual in police clothing soliciting help for an alleged sick mother. In addition, the interested party, already known to the police, had been arrested and referred in 2023 for usurpation of functions.
An investigation is underway. The Public Prosecutor at the Dakar Off Class Tribunal has been informed.
