A foreign national was arrested with 113 false administrative acts of plots in the city of Vélingara. One of his accomplices, on the run is actively sought by the national gendarmerie.

Sieur Yangouba Dao, of Burkinabè nationality, was arrested by gendarmes from the Vélingara brigade last week. This, following complaints of 8 people to whom he would have illegally sold plots for housing use in different districts of recent subdivision plans established by the mayor Mamadou Oury Baïlo Diallo. According to a source close to the file, the searches carried out in his home made it possible to find 113 administrative acts similar to those of the town hall, with stamp and signature of the territorial authority. He also had prints of virgin acts waiting for takers. Similarly, a national identification card in Senegal and another from Burkina Faso are established. This is why, moreover, we concluded that he is Burkinabè and not Malian, as he claimed.
He would have sold several plots already legally assigned by the state committee to third parties. He threatened everything complaining about mystical reprisals by disguising himself as a mossi healer, with hat and caftan in traditional fabric. Yangouba Dao was transferred to Kolda where he was waiting for his judgment.
We can therefore understand the many complaints relating to land: 2 people can hold, for the same number of lots, each an administrative act signed by the mayor Diallo, who affixes his cachet. Impossible to say, with certainty, that there is false in the exhibited acts. How was it possible? Was Mr. Dao solely responsible for all these land disputes? Does he have accomplices? The surveys started by the gendarmerie will build the citizens of the city of the mayor Mamadou Oury Baïlo Diallo.
According to a source close to the mayor Oury Baïlo Diallo, “Sieur Dao benefited from complicities within the state commission which master the town and its subdivision plan”. Besides, one of his accomplices would have fled.
