Senegal-DECENTRALISATION
Kaffrine, May 5 (APS) – The National Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Senegal (UNCCIAS), by the voice of its President Abdoulaye Sow, undertook on Monday to support the Government of Senegal in its new decentralization policy through the implementation of territories.
“We are committed to supporting the Government, through the Ministry of Town Planning, Local Authorities and Territorials’ Planning, in its new decentralization policy aimed at implementing Territorials everywhere in Senegal,” he said in particular.
Mr. SOW, also president of the Dakar Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (CCIAD), trained with journalists, on the sidelines of the UNECIAS decentralized general assembly in Kaffrine (Center).
“We congratulate the authorities for this new mink, and we are already ready to bring together all the trades in Kaffrine, through a planning project from twenty to thirty hectares to support business leaders, in order to train them and supervise them to be able to fix young people in their respective terroirs,” said Abdoulaye Sow.
This GA focused essentially on the development and implementation of a unique procedural manual to all chambers of commerce, industry and agriculture in the country.
The meeting was chaired by the governor of the Kaffrine region, Moustapha Diaw, in the presence of the presidents of the Consular Chambers of Louga, Tambacounda, Saint Louis, Kolda, Ziguinchor and Kaffrine.
The president of the Kaffrine Departmental Council, Abdoulaye Wilane, also took part in this general meeting, as well as other actors in decentralization.
The president of the Kaffrine Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Moustapha Diop, welcomed this general assembly. He focused on the missions assigned to the consular chambers, consisting in training, formalizing and supervising companies.
