On the occasion of the celebration of the Labor Day, scheduled for Thursday, May 1, 2025, the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, addressed his warm and his support for all workers in . He welcomed their determining contribution to the country’s economic and social stability.

The of State invited the government to strengthen social dialogue with trade organizations, while emphasizing the promotion of decent , in strict compliance with the Labor Code and international conventions ratified by Senegal.

President Faye also instructed the Prime Minister to reposition the Labor Administration, with the aim of modernizing his means of action and updating the regulatory system supervising the hygiene and security committees in all ministries.

Within the framework of republican traditions, the President of the Republic will receive officials of the Union Centrals in the afternoon of May 1, during the solemn discount of the Cahiers de compaisences. A symbolic meeting which reflects the attachment of the head of state to social consultation and attentive to the demands of the of work.
