The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, proceeded this Tuesday to an important at the of Connect Park, a strategic company in the digital development of the country. Al Ousseynou Coulibaly, hitherto chairman of the board of directors (PCA), has been noted from his duties. He is replaced by Mr. Silman Camara, finance consultant and recognized actor in supporting investment projects.

This decision, inscribed in a dynamic of institutional renewal advocated by the Head of State, aims to strengthen governance and to promote a strategic orientation for the development of digital in Senegal. By appointing a profile from the private sector and specialist in financial montages, President Bassirou Diomaye Faye seems to want to provide Senegal Connect Park with more sharp expertise in public-private partnerships and digital infrastructure management.

Senegal Connect Park is a state -owned company at the heart of the country’s digital transformation strategy. Its main role is to design, build and manage modern digital infrastructures, including data centers, technological innovation areas and digital service platforms. It constitutes an essential pillar of the “Digital Senegal 2025” , facilitating access to advanced technological services for businesses, startups and public administrations.

In addition, Senegal Connect Park plays a catalyst role in the attractiveness of Senegal as a technological hub in West Africa. Through its projects, the structure actively participates in national digital sovereignty, the dematerialization of public services, and in the digitalization of economic processes.

With the appointment of Silman Camara, the state has its desire to breathe new life into this strategic entity. The objective is clear: to make Senegal Connect Park a lever for development and innovation at the service of the national economy and the Senegalese youth.
