Résumé. In 2018, an 18 -year -old, Nicolas Chauvin, died following a very violent double tackle during a rugby match. It will take more than six years at the French Rugby Federation to produce expertise on drama. Six years during which the young player’s family fought to shed light on the facts and change mentalities in this sport. Nicolas Chauvin’s father even published a book in April 2023 “Rugby: Die is part of the game.”
On April 9 in an interview, former international player Sébastien Chabal said he remembered any of his games. This relaunches the debate on concussions in rugby.
Journalist Ludovic Ninet published in 2023 in Le Parisien a series of articles on the dangerousness of rugby. We take stock with him in Source code.
