Living Book !, The book festival and its trades, was held from April 3 to 5 on the territory of Grand-Figeac. On the menu for this 4th edition: readings, workshops, games, exhibitions, visits and meetings with international renowned artists. This year, the emphasis was put on meetings with schoolchildren in the territory.
This is how Marie-Aude Murail, author for youth and her daughter Constance Robert-Murail, with whom she co-wrote two novels, came to meet the college and schoolchildren of Cajarc. Thursday, April 3, in the morning, a sixth grade group from the Pompidou college received Constance Robert-Murail for a writing workshop on the theme “Our ideal third place”. The meeting took place at the CDI, in the presence of Mr. Beaudeau, French teacher, Chloé Barrier, head of the Cajarc media library and Mrs. Lacroix-Benuzzi, professor-documentalist at the college. The exercise, not very usual for such young students, was so skillfully led by the young and dynamic author, and everyone has lent themselves cheerfully to the game!
On Friday April 4, CM2 students from the Cajarc school welcomed Marie-Aude Murail in their class for a moment rich in emotions. Accompanied by their teacher, Ms. Grandjean, they had read certain works and prepared their questions to ask the author. A privileged moment for these students.
These beautiful meetings, placed under the sign of transmission and generosity, will certainly have marked young and old.
