The automotive continues to display a positive dynamic, recording an overall increase of 35.74 % in April 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, according to the latest figures from the Association of Importers of Vehicles in (AIVAM). A progression that reflects the growing demand for models, also reinforced by the of emerging marks, especially Chinese, and by optimized strategies implemented by importers.

In detail, private vehicles (VP) dominate the market with 15,740 registrations, an increase of 32.20 % compared to April 2024 (11,906 units sold). Growth that reflects sustained demand and active renewal of the car fleet. As for the segment of utility vehicles (Vul), they display an even more marked increase of 76.8%, reaching 2,409 units sold, against 1,362 units year.

In total, sales of April 2025 were 18,149 units, against 13,268 in April 2024, confirming the upward trend of the market. On the annual cumulative, from January to April 2025, 66,321 vehicles were sold, an increase of 35.49 % compared to the 48,948 units sold at the end of April 2024. In any case, the evolution of VP and Vul sales indicates a generalized recovery of the market, supported by technological innovations and an improvement in purchase conditions.

Dacia Morocco Perform

Dacia Maroc confirms its leadership, holding 24% VP market share and totaling 10,204 vehicles sold since January. The “Made in Morocco” models play a key role in this success, especially with the popularity of the Dacia Sandero, sales leader with 3,975 units, followed by Dacia Logan (3,416 units) and Dacia Duster (nearly 2,000 units sold). The launch of the new Dacia Duster last February encountered a real craze, occupying 35% of the segment, with 712 units registered in March.

Dacia Jogger also integrates the top 10 sales, strengthening the presence of the brand on the market. What about the 2025 perspectives? Dacia Morocco should continue its expansion by focusing on major innovations, including the Dacia Bigster, a SUV of the C segment, and the Spring electric city car which has made a facelift. According to Thibault Paland, Director General of Dacia Maroc, “these results testify to the confidence of customers and the success of the new range, consolidating the positioning of Dacia as a key in the Moroccan market”.
