From April 27 to May 4, 2025, the city of Vichy welcomed the 62e Youth Chess . Among the 1,700 from all over France, seven talents in Lot have proudly represented their department.

Players from three Lot clubs

From three dynamic batch clubs – Cahors chess, Saint-Céré and Prayssac – These young players took up the challenge of a very high level national championship. Liséa Poissonnier, Théo Pecharman and Samuel Michon wore the colors of Cahors; Cassandre Joule represented the Saint-Céré club; Zacharie, Adrien and Cassandre Itier were engaged under the banner of the Prayssac club.

Special mention to Cassandre Itier, who achieves a very good course with 6 points out of 9, a performance that allows him not only to qualify directly for the French 2026 championship, but also to win an excellent 11e place in its category.

This beautiful participation confirms the vitality of failures in the lot and the commitment of local clubs to support young people towards the high level.
