Turkey attaches more and more importance to national production in the defense industry. His foreign dependence in this sector increased from 80% in 2000 to 20% in 2022.
This increase in Turkish production is explained by economic reasons, in particular the reduction of long -term costs and the creation of an export potential, but also by concerns in matters of national security and strategic autonomy.
