CEtte Initiative, which is part of the dynamics of the Africa Science Science Leadership Program (ASLP) launched in 2015 in Pretoria, aims to strengthen the leadership capacities of researchers on the continent.

Bringing together around thirty emerging from North Africa and the Sahel – from , Egypt, Mauritania, Benin, Cameroon, Mali, Burkina Faso, Libya and , the MSLP is a for exchanges and training to respond to contemporary scientific and societal challenges.

Through intensive workshops and thematic conferences, are initiated into key skills: leadership, systemic thinking, research management, mentoring, scientific , scientific diplomacy and partnership creation.

The ambition is clear: provide these young researchers with the tools necessary to pilot dynamic teams, influence public policies and effectively dialogue with society and international bodies.

“I understood that scientific leadership is based on listening, inspiration and commitment to the service of the collective, beyond individual successes,” said a participant at the end of the sessions.

An initiative supported by major partners

The MSLP is carried out by the Sciences and Development Association (SDA), Future Africa, inclusive innovation and Attarik Foundation for meteorite sciences and planetology, in partnership with ASLP. It benefits from the support of several prestigious institutions, in particular:

• The National Center for Scientific and Technical Research (CNRST)
• The Hassan II Academy of Sciences and Techniques (Acasitec)
• The Ibn Tofail University National School of Chemistry
• The Faculty of Sciences of the Hassan II University of Casablanca – Ain Chock.

All share a strong : developing research of excellence requires the promotion of scientific leadership, interdisciplinarity and regional collaboration.
