Rapper Tiakola, SDM and Booba as well as singer Joé Dwèt Filé dominate the appointments of the third edition of the flames, rap trophies and its currents, which will be held on May 13 in public at the Seine Musicale near Paris, the organizers announced on Monday, April 28.
With nine appointments, the prodigy of the Tiakola melody, which already dominated the appointments of the first edition of the flames in 2023, holds the record again for this edition, especially in the categories “Male artist of the year” and “Piece of the year”.
The rapper of the Paris region, who won four trophies during the first two editions, is also appointed in the album section of the year, where he faces rappers Werenoi and SDM. The latter has seven nominations, against five for the veteran of the Rap Booba scene and the Franco-Haitian singer Joé Dwèt Filé.
In total, 56 artists are represented in the 25 categories. The nominees and winners are mainly designated for half by the public vote, tied with the jury’s vote. The ceremony is produced by the Booska-P media alongside Yard, Media and Communication Agency. The event, with which the leader of the SPOTIFY musical streaming is, will be broadcast live on the YouTube, Twitch and M6+ platforms and delayed on the W9 channel.
Born in response to the music victories, which have long snubbed the sphere of hip-hop, the flames crowned Gazo Male artist and Aya Nakamura female artist in 2024.
While the first two editions had taken place at the Théâtre du Châtelet, in Paris, the ceremony invested in 2025 the Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt, a larger space which testifies to its desire to continue to grow and gain in visibility.
For the first time, it will not be reserved for professionals in the music sector, but also accessible to the public, as the fans claimed. The organizers know that they must make an impeccable copy after criticism on previous editions, between technical hiccups and lack of rhythm.
