From April 23, photographer Bryce Thompson will exhibit prints on which personalities like Cindy Crawford, Jennifer Garner or Billy Porter with the Holocaust survivors.
It is a striking project revealed by photographer Bryce Thompson. From April 23, “Borrowed Spotlight” will be officially presented at the Detour gallery in New York. This exhibition will be made up of many prints on which Cindy Crawford, Jenna Dewan or Jennifer Garner and other celebrities pose alongside survivors of concentration camps. The idea of ”Bormot Spotlight” (“borrowed light” in French, editor’s note) being to allow these survivors to enjoy attention and light which are usually turned on the celebrities they have encountered.
On Instagram, the photographer has already shared a taste of this exhibition by publishing certain prints but also behind the scenes of these photo sessions on January 26, the day before the Holocaust commemoration day. Among the personalities who agreed to take part in his work, we find in particular David Schwimmer, Billy Porter, Nicola Peltz, Sheryl Sandberg, Julius Erving, Josh Peck, Barbara Corcoran, George Stephanopoulos, Scooter Braun or Chelsea Handler, reports Page Six . In addition to the photos, testimonies of the survivors should also be part of the exhibition.

“A lesson in humility”
After the exhibition, the Bryce Thompson draws will be sold at auction. Sales recipes will be paid to Self Help, an association that helps survivors of the Holocaust, and to the Museum of Holocaust in the United States. “It is really an incredible opportunity and a lesson in humility to be part of such an incredible moment in honor of the resilience and the bravery of these survivors,” said Jenna Dewan to Page Six .
The actress explains that she was upset by the stories of these people. On Instagram, Cindy Crawford shared the photos as long as she spent with one of the camp survivors. “I am very honored to join Bryce Thomsppon and the Borrowed Spotlight project to celebrate the extraordinary survivor of the Holocaust Ella Mandel.
