In the midst of a legal battle relating to several accusations of sexual violence, the former NRJ animator will bounce back on Europe 2.
Sébastien Cauet will soon take over the antenna. Aimed by several accusations of rape and sexual assault, the host dismissed from NRJ in November 2023 will bounce back on Europe 2. The radio station announces this Tuesday, April 15, his arrival for Monday 28, at the controls of a daily morning “to the rhythm of a pop playlist” from 7 am to 11 am.

This official announcement confirms a first information from the Figaro, which announced in March “very advanced discussions” between the controversial animator and the radio of the Bolloré group. He will thus replace Benjamin Castaldi, who presented his last program on April 11 on radio after eight months of antenna.
Indicted last year
Sébastien Cauet, 52, has not officiated on NRJ since November 2023, after the filing of a complaint for rape against him. He has since been the subject of additional complaints for acts of sexual violence.
The host was indicted on May 24 by a Parisian investigating judge For rapes and sexual assault on four womenincluding three teenagers, between 1997 and 2014. Accusations he disputes. It is also placed under judicial control With in particular the ban on making radio in front of an audience.

Cauet himself had chosen to withdraw from the NRJ antenna after the first accusations, but the station then dismissed it for good. The host had responded with legal action to request his reinstatement.
He had finally abandoned this request and claimed the payment of 4.5 million euros in compensation under the termination of his contract. As the Commercial Court had done at first instance, the Paris Court of Appeal agreed to NRJ last November.
