The politico-security firm has approved the expansion of Israeli offensive in Gaza. In particular, it will include the “conquest of the Gaza Strip” and the promotion of the “voluntary departure of the Gazaouis” from the territory, an official Israeli source said on Monday.
“The plan will include, among other things, the conquest of the Gaza Strip and the control of territories” in the Gaza Strip, the source said in a press release.
The Israeli Prime Minister also said during the meeting that he “continued to promote the Trump plan aimed at allowing the” voluntary departure “of the inhabitants of Gaza and that negotiations on this subject continued”, according to the same source. This project had sparked an uproar internationally.
The cabinet also approved the possibility of a “humanitarian distribution if necessary” in the Gaza strip submitted to an Israeli blockadesaid an Israeli official source. But its members estimated that there was “currently enough food in Gaza”.
