In a completely crazy match, the jets qualified for the second round of the playoff series by beating the Blues of St. Louis 4 to 3 in the second period of extension in the seventh match of their first round series, Sunday in Winnipeg.
With two minutes to do in the match, everything indicated that the blues were going to go to the next round, they who led 3 to 1. However, Vladislav Namestnikov, but especially Cole Perfetti, with 1.6 seconds to do in regulation time, forced the holding of extensions. Finally, it was Adam Lowry who allowed the jets to win by deflecting a shot from Neal Pionk (to be seen on the main video).

The service of the jet caretaker, Connor Hellebuyck, was sometimes questionable, especially in the first period. He allocated two goals on the first four shots to which he faced to allow the blues to take an advance of 2 to 0 after 7 min 16 s in the first period. The American was however perfect during the two extension periods, concluding the game with 26 stops.
Jordan Kyrou, then Mathieu Joseph, were the first two players to deceive his vigilance. But the goal that could have done the worst is most certainly that of Radek Faksa with just over 30 seconds to make in the second commitment. The jets had just experienced an excellent period, even managed to reduce the gap to 2 to 1 thanks to a superb perfetti deviation in digital advantage.
On the other hand, Josh Morrissey, the best defender of the Manitoban formation, left the meeting after having taken a harsh defeat in the first period. He did not return to the match, ending his work evening with a differential of – 2 in 2 min 09 s spent on the skating rink.
With this absence, Pionk experienced a fairly busy meeting, he who was used for more than 45 minutes by his head coach Scott Arniel. The 29 -year -old also raised three mentions.
Faced with the Blues goal, Jordan Binnington made 43 stops.
-In the next round, Winnipeg will face the Dallas stars, who also qualified for the second round by winning game number 7 in their series against the Colorado avalanche.
