Three key moments in the game
1. In a meeting where elimination is at stake, scoring the first goal quickly is essential. The cataracts took care of this first mission when they rushed to the fillet of William Lacelle. The latter was unable to put his hand on the washer after an initial shot, Vince Elie was able to seize the return to open the brand.
2. After a sustained attack at the start of the second period, the oceanic took advantage of a broken game to level the brand. Defender Pier-Olivier Roy, freshly back to the game, sent a washer to Mathys Fernandez’s net, but it was blocked in defensive. It allowed Eriks Mateiko to take it and pass it on to Jacob Mathieu who was then able to beat a Fernandez who had already understood the first attempt to launch.
3. Refusing to give up after this first Rimousk goal, the cataracts replied barely 80 seconds later when Jiri Klima, helped by Cole Chandler, set a precise shot at the top of the lacelle net to make 2 to 1 in favor of the premises. Louis-Philippe Fontaine then added in digital advantage to make 3 to 1 for the Shawiniganais.
Game game
While the oceanic increased the pace to hope to come back from the back, the cataracts had the chance to deploy their massive attack to close the books. Towards the very end of the two -minute offense, Klima put an end to the Rimousk Hopes with his second in the match.
Jordan Forget then completed the brand and the two teams spent their messages in the last moments of this sixth meeting.
