Wednesday, April 30, it was first of all around 6:30 p.m. that the emergency services were alerted when a fire had just declared itself in the town of Argens-Minervois, on a nine meter in polyester boat, dedicated to rental for navigation on the Canal du Midi. Very quickly, the firefighters of Lézignan-Corbières and the surrounding municipalities were mobilized on this intervention, with two fire devices, a specialized team for ship lights, as well as a command channel. According to our information, the fire could be processed on the back of the boat.
A little later, it was then at 6:55 p.m. that a new alert was launched after a fire started in the kitchen of an apartment in the La Source residence, in Lézignan-Corbières. Again, two fire machines were engaged in the intervention, as well as the large scale, an ambulance and a chain of command. The fire that remained confined to the kitchen of the apartment did not have an impact on the rest of the building. On the other hand, a family of five had to be relocated by the town hall.
