The Secretary of State to the Minister of Energy, in charge of mines, Karima Tafer, takes part, from May 4 to 7 in Montreal (Canada), in the of the Convention and Exhibition « CIM CONNECT »said on Monday a press release from the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energies.

The Algerian delegation participating in this international event, led by Ms. Tafer, is made up of executives from the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energies, as well as representatives of the National Agency for Minor Activities (ANAM), the Algerian Geological Service Agency (ASGA) and the Sonarem Public Group.

Organized by the Canadian Institute of Mines, Metallurgy and Petroleum, this event represents one of the main international conferences in the field of mining industries, with the participation, this year, of more than 6,000 from different countries of the , including economic operators, experts, researchers, decision -makers and representatives of pioneer technological companies in the matter, said the press release.

’s participation in this event is registered “As part of its approach to strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the mining field, especially with Canada, a leading country in this sector”as well as “Promote the significant mining capacities to which it conceals, to drain quality investments and to strengthen the transfer of knowledge and technologies”adds the same source.

On this occasion, Ms. Tafer should hold bilateral meetings with Canadian officials and representatives of international institutions and organizations, as well as with investors and large companies activating in the fields of mines and technology, in order to explore the opportunities for cooperation and partnership, to exchange expertise and to develop mining projects.
