Kiiras already reacts Internet users and K-Pop fans.
The future girlgroup is indeed already in turmoil even before its beginnings, fans condemning the shocking age of the youngest member.
first female group to make its debut under the Leanbranding label, Kiiras, was eagerly awaited, notably with the presence of the singer-songwriter Saay as producer of the group’s first album, and the group was mainly expected for the beginnings of the Malaysian Lingling, who was a candidate in the Survival “I-Land 2” which allowed the creation of Izna.
The problem appeared to the revelation of the members. Born October 16, 2011, the Maknae Roah is indeed only 13 years old.
Since Roah was revealed to the public, many fans and Internet users have criticized Leanbranding for having chosen such a young girl to be part of the group.
We can note that this is not a surprise when we are interested in the agency’s recruitments and artists. During Leanbranding’s hearings for Kiiras in 2024, the cast was open to children aged 6 to 16. And among the other singers of the agency, there are in particular Kim Ji Yul, candidate of Miss Trot 2 who is only 3 years old, and Lim SEO Won, the Unis Maknae aged 14, who had made her solo debut at 10 years old.
-The other members of the group are between 15 and 20 years old, and the fans point out that the age of the group is already very young, so fans call for boycott, realizing that Roah is still in the middle of his college years, proving his very young age.
Despite his young age, Roah is not at his beginnings in the world of entertainment, however. Under her real name, Kim Hajeong, she has already appeared in the drama “The Atypical Family” on JTBC, and participated in modeling competitions for children. She was also a member of Wenity, a dance group for children.
While some fans have welcomed Roah as a new future member of the group, others call for boycott because of their very young age and ask that K-Pop ceases to start such young idols.
