It’s official: Backwards Returns for a third and last film, after a traumatic end of the second part! Prime Video swung a first teaser and the release date. Spoiler Alert: The tensions between Noah and Nick have never been so strong … But either love.
The teaser is there, and it smells of reconciliation … or the storm
It is the trilogy that has made the hearts of fans beat since 2023. Adapted from the successful novels of Mercedes Ron, the franchise on the other hand is preparing to bow out with a much awaited third film. After exploding the scores on Prime Video with the first two parts (including Back 2bigger success of 2024), the continuation arrives in October 2025.
In this last chapter, if we follow the book, Nick (Gabriel Guevara) and Noah (Nicole Wallace) will find themselves two years after their separation. One lives in Los Angeles, the other in new York, and their confrontation is done during the marriage of Jenna and Lion. Electric atmosphere guaranteed.
“My favorite”: Nicole Wallace Tease a different and more mature final
The film, always directed by Domingo González, promises a different visual and emotional atmosphere. Nicole Wallace herself announced during an interview with Allociné in November 2024: it is “[s]We prefer“.
“All the aesthetics of the film is very different from the first two and there are many different places. The story is a little more mature on the sentimental and dramatic level. There is also a jump in time, which I find relevant, and you can see the evolution of Nick and Noah“She said.
An acting challenge that she enjoyed: “Being able not only to make an arc in each film, but also from the first to the third and to be able to note that the character has really grown, is very fun and appreciable in this experience.“
Casting side, pillars as Marta Hazas, Iván Sánchez, Victor Varona et Eva Ruiz should come back, just like the new faces of the second part: Goya Toledo, Gabriela Andrada, Álex Béjar, Javier Morgade et Felipe Londoño.
