Ciné Tence is organizing a meeting with Bernard Peyrol on Friday May 9 at 8:30 p.m. on the occasion of the release of his new documentary “The last masters of the False”.
After “Ardéchois, Montagnards peasants”, Bernard Peyrol tells the story of Pont-Salomon, a simple hamlet of a hundred souls, with a rural vocation, which sees its destiny switch to the arrival of an industry in 1842. Sept sites were created along the La Semène river.
Under the leadership of their leaders, factories produce up to 300,000 false per year. The spectator slips into this remarkable story and discovers step by step the manufacture of the most legendary peasant tool, the false, as well as the sickle and the fork.
The screening Friday, May 9 at 8:30 p.m. will be followed by an exchange with Bernard Peyrol.
The film is then scheduled for Wednesday May 14 at 2:30 p.m. and Sunday May 18 at 5 p.m.
