31 years after the launch of the first edition of the Golden owl, we will finally know everything about this famous treasure hunt. A film entitled “The discovery of the owl of gold” will be released this Friday to reveal all its secrets … and launch a particularly awaited second quest.
What are we going to learn in this documentary?
The co -founder of the golden owl and the director Alexandre Largeron chose to reveal everything. From its creation … until its discovery last fall. Spectators will therefore be able to discover the solutions to the eleven puzzles scattered over the past 31 years.
The final point of the documentary and this huge quest, the location where the treasure was buried will also be revealed in the light of day for the first time. A secret “very well kept, since even their families of the winners are not aware”, assured Michel Becker on BFMTV.
In order not to see the mystery pierced by possible witnesses, the shooting of the film – “not banal” according to its director – was carried out at night. We will therefore know if the municipalities of Dabo (Moselle), Saint-Just-D’Avray (Rhône) or Bourges (Cher), mentioned among rumors, were good tracks.
Above all, this is an opportunity to discover where the new treasure hunt of the “golden owl 2” will start, whose launch is expected at the end of the summer. The latter must fly away “exactly where the first was buried”, according to its creator.
Who participated in the shooting?
The film should be “an action, adventure and investigation documentary”, in the words of its director Alexandre Largeron. He will give the floor to the two winners of the “golden owl”. These are two people living abroad, one has been a “owner” for over 20 years, the other has landed more recently in the adventure. It is not yet known if their identity will be revealed or if their face and voice will be modified.
The documentary will also reveal the testimony of eight “owners”, involved in the treasure hunt, without arriving at the end of the latter. Michel Becker, co -founder of this quest, will also be a very important place while paying tribute to Max Valentin, designer of the enigmas, died in April 2009.
Where and when to see it?
There will be no preview as such as “the discovery of the golden owl”. The film will be released simultaneously this Friday evening in 400 rooms in France, but also in Belgium, Switzerland, Canada or Luxembourg. A card losing the 400 sessions is available on a dedicated website.
In Paris, 10 cinemas have planned to broadcast the documentary, such as the Pathé Montparnasse, the UGC Les Halles or the MK2 quai de Loire. The film should be released only on May 2 and 3.
While some “nice” will miss this express outing, a PDF of the solutions to the puzzles should be broadcast, and a book on the quest must appear in June. The book is already available in pre -order.
