Orange actively contributes to the strengthening of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Morocco and Africa by supporting young talents and their innovative projects. In this perspective, the operator combined with Flat6labs on the sidelines of the 3rd edition of the Gitex Africa. This partnership aims to support startups from the ideation to the A series. “Flat6labs is a partner that has great expertise in terms of stratups support. It is first of all a main venture capital platform in the priming phase that supports startups, ”says Nadia Mrabi, Senior CSR and Oranges Data Center. This Partenit is part of the continuity of actions deployed by Orange Maroc within the framework of its ambitious CSR device articulated around innovation, mentoring and strategic partnerships. The purpose being to connect startups with investors, mentors and growth opportunities, while promoting local technological solutions. This commitment was expressed at the Gitex Africa where the operator organized a series of startup-investors. 40 startups and 12 investment funds (including Orange Ventures, Flat6labs, Askya Investment, UM6P Ventures, Loftyinc Capital, Hedera and Digital Africa) thus took part in the “Meet the Investor”. These 10 -minute meetings each allowed startups to pitch their projects and benefit from expert advice. Among the actions carried out as part of the Salon We also cite the Supernova Challenge which rewards the most innovative solutions and offers them international visibility. The opportunity being to compete with the finalist projects of the Roadshow Orange Gitex, around 4 key themes, namely Tech for Good, the Future of Work & Education, Sustainable Innovation and Digital Inclusion.
Orange and Ausim popularize the cloud with companies
In parallel to startups, Orange continues its commitment to the development of the territorial cloud. The operator has combined in this sense at Ausim in order to popularize the cloud with companies. This rapprochement is online with the partnership signed with Orange and AWS during the previous edition of the Gitex. A unique cooperation of its kind in Morocco and Africa and which strengthens Orange Morocco’s commitment to supporting the will of the Kingdom to become a reference technological hub in Africa. “We are clearly positioning ourselves as a Multicloud provider and it is in this sense that with Ausim, we have signed a partnership to popularize the cloud with companies,” recalls Hind LFAL, Chief Business Orange Orange in this sense.
