The Spanish civil guard announced the dismantling of a criminal network involved in international drug trafficking. This network operated in the provinces of Almería and Granada, in Andalusia, and collaborated with Moroccan suppliers, having the capacity to transport hashish and large -scale cocaine.
This operation was carried out jointly by the judicial police unit of Catalonia and that of Almería, leading to the arrest of five individuals.
According to the Civil Guard, Thursday, the operation, initiated in February 2024, benefited from the support of the regional center for analysis and intelligence against drug trafficking in Andalusia.
-The network had a well -oiled logistics for smuggling drugs, using modified trucks, industrial warehouses, loading points and routes planned in advance to escape police checks.
In collaboration with Moroccan networks, the group managed to transport large amounts of hashish and cocaine, using sophisticated concealment methods, such as secret compartments in the fuel tanks of trucks.
The phase on the field of the operation was carried out on March 11 in various areas of the province of Almería, during which ten searches were made, including in a greenhouse. This led to the entry of 262.72 kilograms of hashish, as well as 11,585 euros in cash, a white pistol, ammunition, electronic devices and various documents.
