Five regions hosted 72% of all assets aged 15 and over in the quarter of 2025, according to the High Commission for Planning (HCP) in its information note relating to the Labor situation in T1-2025.

The Casablanca-Settat region is in first position with 22.3%assets, followed by Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (13.2%), -Safi (13%), Fès-Meknès (11.9%) and Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (11.7%), specifies the HCP.

According to the same source, four regions display activity rates above the national average (42.9%). These are the regions of Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima with 47.1%, from the South (45.6%), Casablanca-Settat (45.1%) and Marrakech-Safi (43.1%).

On the other hand, the lowest rates are recorded in the regions of Souss-Massa (40.1%), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (39.9%) and the Oriental (39.3%).

Regarding unemployment, five regions concentrate 70% of the unemployed. The Casablanca-Settat region comes first with 23%, of Fès-Meknès (13.2%), the Oriental (12.2%), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (11.9%) and Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (9.8%).

The highest unemployment rates are observed in the Oriental region (25.2%) and the southern regions (23.8%). With less acuity, two regions exceed the national average (13.3%) namely Casablanca-Settat (13.7%) and Fès-Meknès (14.7%).

However, the regions of Drâa-Tafilalet, Marrakech-Safi and Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima record the lowest rates, 8%, 8.9%and 11.2%respectively.
