Marvel: Thunderbolts’ screenwriter lifts the veil on the potential return of Scarlett Johansson

-

The screenwriter of Thunderbolts*, Eric Pearson, answered the question that all Marvel fans arise on the future of the MCU. For him, it is very unlikely that Scarlett Johansson is one returning to the role of Black Widow.

The 40 -year -old actress started her adventure in the Marvel universe in the film “Iron Man 2” in 2010 and said goodbye to the character of Natasha Romanoff in the film “Black Widow” in 2021. And if it is common for some characters from the Marvel universe to come back from the dead, Eric Pearson does not believe that Natasha will appear in the next Saga films.

Asked about it by the Hollywood Reporter, he replied: “I will start by saying that I have no idea, but I don’t think. I have the impression that his end in ‘endgame’ and his epilogue in our prendness ‘Black Widow’ were so beautiful. I would therefore be surprised, but I don’t know.

Eric Pearson added that if the sacrifice of Natasha Romanoff was important for the characters of his sister Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) and his adoptive father Alexei Shostakov (David Harbour) in “Thunderbolts*”, the story had to go without her.

He adds: “Even if we this story and its origins, we did not want to too much to the past. We had to approach the definitive loss of Natasha and its effect on Yelena and Alexei. But we really wanted to go ahead, because Yelena plays a leading role in this story, and it is a big journey for her.”
