A skateur rabbit jumping from one ramp to another and is gently receives. A young girl with the blonde hair who, four meters high, drops back and lands in the attentive arms of five carriers. A spider gymnast whose body, both flexible and strong, marks the space of its muscular dance. Or crazy tracers that swing at the top of the highest ramps before sliding along the accortight curves. Last weekend, Olliepoetic and electric show of the Geneva company Urban Move Academy (UMA) delighted the public of the Théâtre du Châtelet, in Paris, directed by Olivier Py.
How did this young troop led by Nicolas Musin managed to perform in this prestigious room that can accommodate 2,000 people? “Olivier Py was seduced by a teaser posted on the internet and took the bet to schedule us,” replies the director of Uma who, with the French production box Black Pavilion, will take advantage of this exceptional visibility to organize tours. “We have been approached by many programmers and it’s great, because our style, social and poetic, could appeal to an American or Asian audience, accustomed to more spectacular urban art.”
