“Contrary to what can be indicated on this occasion, to date, no factual and verifiable element has not been brought to the attention of the Nantes jurisdiction, any more than to the police services seized, by anyone, and which can attest to the reality of this information,” said the prosecutor.
Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès is suspected of having killed his wife and four children in April 2011, whose bodies were found in Nantes under the terrace of the family home. The suspect was never found and the investigation did not determine if he was dead or on the run.

“We give justice the fruit of this operation” which, according to the lawyer, “marks a major turning point in the history of the search for fugitives in France”. Aqababe, whose real name is Aniss Zitouni, 27, asked on an Instagram channel called “Let’s find XDDL” to communicate information about the disappeared. He said he received “tens of thousands of contributions”.
