Although Francis Lalanne “transmitted to the services of the National Commission for campaign Accounts and Political Funding of the documents by email”, the latter do not constitute a campaign account, which he was “required to establish”, can be read in the decision of the Council of State.
The campaign account traces all of the revenue received and expenses made for an election.
Francis Lalanne, known in recent years, especially for his anti-Vax positions or in support of the yellow vests, was a head of the list under the banner “Free France” in the European elections of 2024, alongside the multi-condamné Dieudonné polemist.
Their common list had not exceeded 0.04 %.
The two men also had candidates in the legislative elections of June 29 and July 6 in Guadeloupe. Mr. Lalanne had obtained 173 votes in the third constituency, or 0.59 % of the votes.
The singer, who recently recorded a support song for the environmental activist and whale defender Paul Watson, had also called to vote for the candidate of the National Rally Marine Le Pen, in the second round of the presidential election in 2022.
