5 francs per , 25 francs per night. Here are the prices to which the Manager of the House-Restoral Hotel, Elias Vogt, would like to charge the parking spaces next to its establishment, during the summer season. He even placed a parking meter and an explanatory panel, as reported by the Journal du Jura on April 14. Following this, the municipality of Nods decided on April 16 to prohibit the use of the parking meter, in its capacity of constructions police authority. It asks the establishment to it. A decision that is not suitable for Elias Vogt, which now affirms by press release also that its operations of the parking lot is legal, since the parking meter is placed inside his building.

The two parts base their arguments on a decision of the 2006 Neuveville district prefecture, which they interpret it differently. According to the municipality, this decision stipulates that part of the parking lot was intended for public needs for visitors, and the other for the hotel, even if all of the parking spaces are located on the property of the establishment. According to Elias Vogt, as he affirms via his press release, the prefecture’s decision focused only on the dimensions of the parking lot.

He also claims to be there that if the parking lot is not exclusively reserved for hotel customers, this does not prevent its commercial operation. And that in return, several free services are offered to parking users.

This disagreement concerning the operating of the parking lot is not . An appeal, filed by the Hunting Hotel, is still during the administrative court of the canton of Bern on this subject. The question of operating this car park is still pending. /CGR
