The M13 boys of the Labastide-Saint-Georges volleyball club (VCB) are pursuing an exceptional adventure in the French Cup. Handled for several months in this prestigious national competition, they are today among the best 15 teams in France. A remarkable course for this training supervised by Nicolas Barlier and Camille Charles.
At the start, 182 teams claimed the trophy. The young “Bastidian crocos”, as they are nicknamed, were able to dismiss solid formations such as Montpellier, Nice, Toulouse, Pantin, Marignane or Avignon. By dint of work, self -denial and talent, young volleyball players have overcome the obstacles one by one to reach the 8th and last round before the grand finale.
At the end, only 12 teams will access the “Final 4” which will take place in Vannes on May 2, 3 and 4. A perspective that galvanizes a whole club, ready to write one of the most beautiful pages in its history.
The next deadline is set for Sunday, April 20, at the René Bressolle gymnasium, in Labastide-Saint-Georges, where the VCB will play this Capital triangular tournament at home. The first match kicks off will be given at 11 am, against the formidable Parisian club of PUC Volley-Ball. Then, the Bastidians will face as SP ENTERMONT RIXHEIM, another solid team from Haut-Rhin. The two best teams of this day will win their ticket for the national final phase.
The public is invited to come and support the young hopes of the VCB in this decisive moment. Entrance is free and a refreshment bar will be made available. Passionate about volleyball or simple sports enthusiasts, all encouragement will be welcome to push young crocos towards victory.
