The former animator was arrested this evening at his home in Bougival (Yvelines), as part of an investigation into a drug trafficking network.
Stéphane Plaza was arrested at his home on Monday May 5 in the evening, at his home in Bougival (Yvelines) as part of an investigation relating to drug trafficking, learned BFMTV from a source close to the investigation, confirming information from the Parisian.
The former M6 star host is suspected of being a regular customer of drug trafficking. He is currently in police custody. The investigations are carried out by the judicial police of Seine-Saint-Denis.
In a completely different file, the host and real estate agent was sentenced on February 18 to 12 months suspended imprisonment for domestic violence. A decision that he immediately appealed.
He had been accused by several of his former companions of having exercised violence, physical and psychological. If the Paris court pronounced 12 months’ imprisonment against the animator for “usual violence” on the first complainant, it had been released from the facts of psychological violence that the second complainant denounced.
-He assured “never” take drugs
For his part, the man has always proclaimed his innocence. “I continue and will continue to defend the cause of women. I stay straight and stand up and focus on my work to continue to help and bring you happiness,” he said on his Instagram account in December 2023.
During his trial, on January 9, the host was also asked about his addictions, the complainants who spoke of his big alcohol consumption during episodes of violence. He then assured that he had “never, never” taken drugs.
“Your alcohol consumption?” Asked the president at this hearing. “In the past, it was a worldly alcohol essentially. Now, I have little drinking. One to two glasses per week,” replied the host. Did he consume drugs? “Never!” He said.
Stéphane Plaza became known by hosting several real estate programs from 2006 on M6. But in recent months, these emissions have experienced an increasingly important drop in audience, without being able to assert with certainty that this has a link with the judicial problems of the real estate agent.
