Two other suspects were arrested this Sunday in the investigation into the abduction and forcible confinement of the father of an entrepreneur in the cryptocurrencies released on Saturday in Palaiseau (Essonne), according to the Paris prosecutor’s office. In total, seven suspects were arrested in this case.
The victim, whose son made a fortune in the cryptocurrencies, had been abducted on May 1 in the middle of Paris and kidnapped for two days by criminals who asked for a major ransom in exchange for his release. The 50 -year -old was finally released on Saturday by the police in Palaiseau. He would have lost a finger during his kidnapping, that his kidnappers would likely have cut him.
Very young suspects
“During this intervention, four individuals (born in 1999, 1998, 2005 and 2002) were arrested, in or near the accommodation where the victim was sequestrated,” said the prosecution in a press release. “A 5th individual (born in 1999) was arrested behind the wheel of one of the vehicles probably used by criminals,” adds the text.
The two new suspects arrested this Sunday were born in 1995 and 2007. They were, like the other five, was placed in police custody, according to the prosecution which ensures that the investigations continue.
