Marion Duthen, the promising Ruthenian junior, played the Tarn championship of the combined events, this weekend in Carmaux, just to get into a regional internship. With the wise advice provided by Calvin Jean-François, the new technical employee of the club, she signed a very good performance. The Ruthenian broke her personal record in heptathlon, and has improved her best brand out of three of the seven disciplines.
Its total obtained at the end of the seven events is 4,495 points, just 5 points from direct qualifying minima. Marion Duthen is for the moment in the French top 3, and is almost guaranteed to participate in the French championships.
She chained three scores at nearly 800 points. On the 800 m, 800 exactly with its 2’21”74 (personal record), 795 on the 100 m hurdles with 15”36 (personal record) and 783 on 200 m with 26”16. Then, she capitalized 665 points in a long jump with a leap measured at 5.38 m (personal record), 599 points in high jump with 1.48 m, 505 points at weight with 9.62 m, but only 348 points in the javelin with a jet measured at 23.18 m, her record for the season.
She will have to work this specialty to increase her capital. In the meantime, she will be aligned Sunday during the first round of the Interclub.
