After a morning EL3 session in which the official Ferrari #50 again signed the best time in front of the two Cadillac, the afternoon of this Friday was devoted to the qualifications at the 6 hours of Spa.
During the first part of the hypercar qualifications, it is still the #50 which signed the reference time, with 0 “340 ahead of the Peugeot 9×8 #93 and more than four tenths on the other two Ferrari 499p (the semi-private of AF Corse in front of the #51 official). The top 5 was then completed by the alpine A424 LMDH #36. Tricolores also managed to rise to hyperpole, since the Alpine #35 and the Peugeot #94 signed the eighth and tenth time.
The hyperpole has not given birth to a large suspense, with the pole signed by the car which has dominated the test so far, namely … The official Ferrari #50, of course. Antonio Fuoco at the wheel took a hat -trick from the Italian manufacturer with second place in the #83 of AF Corse piloted by Robert Kubica and third place for the other 499p official, #51, in the hands of Antonio Giovinazzi.
Fourth place returned to the Peugeot #94, at the wheel of which was the regional of the stage, Stoffel Vandoorne, while the Top 5 was completed by Cadillac #12 piloted by Alex Lynn. The Alpine were positioned themselves in the sixth and ninth row, notably framing the second Peugeot, the #93, seventh.
On the LMGT3 side, the pole returned to the Lexus RC F #78 of the Akkodis Asp Team team, at the wheel of which was Finn Gehrsitz.
