It becomes almost a habit. Failing to make the titles thanks to its results, Alpine continues to make the headlines for her extra-sporting stories. Under strong pressure since its beginnings, it was more and more expected to learn the sidelining of Jack Doohan for the benefit of Franco Colapinto. But this is another announcement that was divided this Tuesday evening, that of the surprise departure of Oliver Oakes.

Considered one of the figures to follow in the Paddock of Formula 1, the 37 -year -old leader resigned from his functions this Tuesday, with immediate effect, as Alpine specifies in a brief press release. No additional details have been shared, except that Flavio Briatore will take charge of the British perimeter in addition to its current field of action.

Speculations will now to understand this decision. It illustrates a discomfort that one could not necessarily perceive. One can imagine an omnipresence of Flavio Briatore in decisions, leaving no room for Oliver Oakes. The Briton could also disagree on the Jack Doohan file. The timing suggests that his resignation would be linked to Alpine’s desire to tenure Franco Colapinto.

The press is indeed unanimous on this file. The Argentinian will take the wheel of the A525 from the next Grand-Prix, in Imola. The decision would have been communicated to ENSTONE employees, and an ad could be made in the coming . The replacement of Jack Doohan raises many criticisms, with a lack of support from the Australian since his tenure. The latter was not conclusive, even if he has shown a certain touch of speed.

The next few days will not be for Formula 1 specialists, with a Alpine episode to put themselves under the tooth. Nevertheless, there is little doubt that Flavio Briatore is the man behind the big decisions today, we can therefore think that the departure of Oliver Oakes, who arrived July, will have limited consequences.
