We have already attended a quarter of the F1 season and it is clear that McLaren seems to be on another planet in terms of performance. As proof, the two papaya single -seaters crossed the finish line of the Miami Grand Prix with more than 30 seconds ahead of their first pursuer, George Russell. Since the start of the season, only Max Verstappen has managed to drop the McLaren, winning the Japanese Grand Prix brilliantly. Also note the Sprint race victory for Lewis Hamilton in Shanghai.
On the statistical side, McLaren crushes competition: five victories in six Grand Prix (83.3% victory), four for Oscar Piastri and one for Lando Norris. It was also the McLaren who have completed the most laps at the top of a Grand Prix since the start of the season (69.1%). Of six great prices, four times, McLaren managed to raise his two single -seaters on the podium. Finally, since the start of the 2025 F1 campaign, there has always been at least a McLaren driver on the podium.
The only area where McLaren pilots are preceded by a competitor is in the exercise of qualifications. Indeed, Max Verstappen has to date three, ahead of Oscar Piastri (two) and Lando Norris (one).
